IRON MAIDEN Bassist Comments On Band's First-Ever Appearance In Singapore
February 8, 2011British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN are gearing up for the 2011 leg of "The Final Frontier World Tour", which commences on February 11 in Moscow. The band hit Singapore for the first on February 15 at Singapore Indoor Stadium. IRON MAIDEN will be arriving in its specially customized Boeing 757 airliner Ed Force One which will be transporting band, crew and their entire 10-ton stage production 50,000 miles right around the globe and piloted by lead singer Bruce Dickinson, a qualified airline captain.
Commented MAIDEN bassist Steve Harris: "It's been a long-held ambition of ours to play in Singapore and we're delighted the opportunity has now come around. We're really looking forward to seeing our fans there for the first time and playing songs from the new album and, of course, many older fan favorites too! We'll also be bringing a spectacular live show, including the latest incarnation of [band mascot] Eddie, who has to be seen to be believed! It's going to be a really special night."
